paris me manque

...Eli Pariisia ikävöiden! Mulle tulee aina toisinaan ihan järkyttäviä ikäväpuuskia Pariisia kohtaan, ja tuntuu että jos sinne ei pääse heti, niin henki lakkaa kulkemasta. Siinä kaupungissa on vaan jotain, mikä vetää mua magneetin lailla puoleensa. Taisin olla rakastunut kaupunkiin jo ennen kuin sinne ikinä jalallani astuikaan - ja ekan reissun jälkeen se oli menoa se. Vieläkään taakse ei kuitenkaan ole ehtinyt edes kertyä kuin kolme reissua, yksi aina yhtä täällä Lontoossa viettämääni vuotta kohden. Kesällä on kyllä ihan pakko päästä takaisin, kenties pariinkiin otteeseen. Varsinkin kun päädyin tänä iltana selailemaan viime syyskuisen reissun kuvasaldoa ja fiilistelemään hyviä muistoja... :)

...Missing Paris, that is! Sometimes I just get these insane feelings of missing Paris, and I just feel like if I don't get there right away, I just can't breath anymore. There's just something about that city that pulls me towards it like a magnet. I think I was in love with the city even before I ever got there, and after the first trip I was a lost case. Regardless, I've only had a chance to go there three times, one for each year spent in London. This summer I just need to get back there, who know, maybe even more than once. Especially now that I started going through the pics from the last trip in September and remembered all the great memories... :)

Nämä kuvat summaavat aika hyvin sen, mitä Pariisilta aina (vähintäänkin) odotan: hyvää ruokaa, hyvää juomaa, kävelyä ilman tiettyä määränpäätä... sekä ehkä ihan pientä pyörähdystä Vuittonilla, heh heh :) Tulevaa matkaa jo valmiiksi innolla odottaen! :) Mikäli edelliset reissut kuvineen ja tarinoineen kiinnostaa, niin tuosta sivupalkista löytyy Pariisille oma tunnisteensa!

Tuo paidan ja shortsien yhdistelma on mielestäni super kivan näköinen kummassakin värissä! Mutta toki ylä- ja alaosat käyvät mainiosti myös muihin vaatteisiin yhdistettyna. Aiemmin en ole niin paljon näistä Nellyn blogiyhteistyömallistoista välittänyt, mutta tämä osui ja upposi - hyvää työtä :)

Really think the combination of the lace shirt and shorts is super cool in both color! And obviously you can wear the top and bottom separately too. Before I haven't been too into these collaborations between Nelly and the bloggers, but this one really hit the spot for me - good job :)

Otsikon kysymys on suunnattu teille lukijoilleni: onka aika tiedustella teiltä, mitä te haluaisitte täällä blogissa nähdä ja lukea enemmän? Vähintäänkin tämän toukokuun olen nimittäin vähän laiminlyönyt blogiani, sillä viimeiset koulujutut on aiheuttaneet jopa minussa, joka tuskin koskaan stressaan mistään, melkoisia oireita, ja kun on viettänyt ensin tuntikausia kirjoittaen lopputyötä, ei enää meinaakaan jaksaa selata muiden blogeja tai ajatellakaan omaansa. Hurjan ikävää se on ollut, sillä blogit on mulle se "pakopaikka" kaikesta muusta - niitä selatessa karkaan hetkeksi muista asioista ja keskityn imemään itseeni ideoita ja inspiraatiota. Toivon että kunhan ensi viikon loppupuolella (!!) palautan vihdoin lopputyöni, jaksan jälleen panostaa blogiini ihan eri tavoin. Olisi kertakaikkisen ihanaa pystyä tarjoamaan teille laadukasta, monipuolista ja ennen kaikkea kiinnostavaa sisältöä, joten siksikin olisi mahtavaa kuulla minkälaisia juttuja tänne haluaisitte! Millainen sisältö teitä innostaa ja inspiroi?

The question is for you: it's time to ask you guys what would you like to see and read about in my blog? That's because I feel like at least during this month I've neglected my blog a little bit, because my final uni assignments and exams have gotten to me and left me stressing, which is something that never really happens. After having written hours of your dissertation, you really don't have the energy left for checking your favorite blogs or thinking about your own. It's been so annoying because to me, blogs are that little escape from everything else and that's where I get my ideas and inspirations from. I wish that after next week (!!) when I finally hand in my dissertation, I can again start really giving time for my blog. I would just love to be able to offer you great quality, variety and most of all, interesting content, which is why it would be fantastic to hear what kind of things you enjoy seeing here! What kind of content gives you ideas and inspiration?

cravings: baggy jeans

Oon useamman viikon yrittänyt metsästää rentoja farkkuja, ja sovittanutkin ties kuinka monet parit. Aina ne näyttää niin kivoilta ja baggyilta henkarissa roikkuessa, mutta päällä ne onkin sitten ihan muuta... voi kun alkaisi jo tärpätä! Kesällä mielummin käyttäisi jotain rentoa, kun aina niitä tiukkoja skinny jeanseja - niin ihania kuin nekin toki on!

For several weeks now I've been hunting for cool, relaxed jeans and tried on who knows how many pairs. They always look so cool and baggy on the hanger, but then when you wear them, they're something else... I wish I'd just find my perfect pair already! Would be some much nicer to wear something loose during the summer, instead of those skinny jeans - as much as I still like them!

Nämä Asosin farkut antaa taas vähän toivoa, ja plussaa siitä että petite-malliston vaatteet on tosiaan meille lyhyille (alle 160 senttisille) mitoitettu! Vaan eipäs niistä tällä hetkellä enää omaa kokoani löydy! Farkut yhdistaisin nättiin silkkiseen toppiin sekä upeisiin ballerinoihin. En voi uskoa miten hyvään hintaan nuo French Solen nyt lähtee - mun on pakko käydä sovittamassa liikkeessä onko nämä yhtä naftia mitoitusta kuin ne leobaltsut (eli tarvitaan yksi koko tavallista suuremmat) ja laittaa sitten nekin tilaukseen... oivoi, ehkäpä se kesägarderoobi olisi jo kohta mallillaan? :p

These jeans by Asos give a glimpse of hope, and get extra points for being aimed for shorter girls like me. Unfortunately they no longer have my size available! I'd wear them with a pretty silky vest and gorgeous flats. Can't believe the great price of these French Sole flats - I'm so going to go try these on at the store to see if they fit as small as my leo flats and then order these online... oh goshh, I really hope my summer wardrobe is about to be enough for me soon :p
